This page explains the PantryLens website and the current app preview. We will update it before launching accounts and paid subscriptions.
Who is responsible?
PantryLens is operated by Mediasu d.o.o.. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@pantrylens.app.
When you visit this website
This is an informational website. It has no account registration, checkout, photo upload, analytics tracker or advertising tracker. We do not add cookies or browser storage. The fonts and images are served with the website.
Render hosts the website. Delivering and securing a page involves technical information such as your IP address, browser information and requested URL. Render handles this information under its service and security practices. See Render’s privacy policy.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to answer your question, handle a support or privacy request, and keep a record where necessary. Please share only what is relevant and do not send passwords or payment card details.
We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to resolve your request and any follow-up, or to meet a legal obligation. You can ask us about or request deletion of your correspondence using the email above.
How the current app preview uses AI
Using photo recognition in the app sends the photo you select through the PantryLens server to OpenAI. OpenAI identifies possible ingredients. The recognized ingredient list is then automatically sent to OpenAI to generate initial recipe suggestions. Editing the list sends the updated ingredients to OpenAI for new suggestions. Generating a dish image sends recipe information to OpenAI.
The current PantryLens server does not save uploaded photos to a database or file storage. Recipe information and generated images may be held temporarily in server memory. This does not mean that a third-party service retains nothing: OpenAI has its own API data controls and retention rules. See OpenAI’s API data controls.
The current app preview has no PantryLens account system or active subscription checkout. Supabase and RevenueCat are planned integrations; they are not used by this website.
Why we process information
We use information to provide requested app features and support, keep the service working and secure, and meet legal obligations. Where European data protection law applies, the relevant grounds can include performing a service you request, our legitimate interest in providing support and maintaining security, and compliance with legal obligations. Where consent is required, we will ask before the relevant processing.
Your choices and rights
You choose whether to send a photo or contact support. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability of your information, object to processing, or request restrictions. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact support@pantrylens.app to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your data.
Our service providers may process information outside your country. Their published policies describe their processing locations and transfer safeguards. Contact us if you need more information about a particular request.
Before the public app launch
We will update this page when the live app’s account, subscription, storage and retention arrangements are finalized. This website’s launch does not mean that the paid mobile app has launched.
